Regal
Manufacturing Company began the manufacture of covered elastic yarn in July,
1956. After years of experience in the manufacture of covered yarns for men's,
women's and children's socks, we pioneered the use of another new generation
of covered elastic yarns in ladies hosiery in the early 1960's. Those new
yarns provided improved comfort and fit, as well as enhanced durability, and
helped provide for the explosion in panty hose usage that was to follow. |

Covered elastic
yarns are produced by wrapping nylon, polyester, cotton, or other fibers
around spandex or latex rubber.
Today, Regal Manufacturing Company produces and sells engineered covered
yarns for use in men's, women's, and children's woven
and knit apparel with " stretch" , active and athletic wear, swimwear,
sweaters, body suits and intimate apparel, sheer and opaque ladies hosiery,
as well as men's, women's, and children's dress socks and sport socks.
Products featuring our yarns are sold by all major retailers and department
stores throughout the U.S., and through many fine retail outlets around
the world.
Through collaboration with designers and our customers, our continuously expanding and changing product line of covered yarn is reacting to today's and tomorrow's needs.
